On Thursday 26th September, Years 5+6 visited a Hindu Temple close to Birmingham. The children were invited to see the various shrines dedicated to different Hindu Gods. For many children (and staff) this was their first visit to a Hindu place of worship. All pupils found the visit incredibly interesting and it really brought the Hinduism topic to life. Amelia Edwards summed up the day perfectly when she commented, “This religion is fascinating!” As always, the children’s behaviour was superb and the respect shown to members of the public who had come to worship at the temple was wonderful to see.
