Our lovely Class 1

Class One all dressed up in our pyjamas and onesies for Red Nose Day!

Monday 8th March
We have been learning about healthy eating so we designed, made and ate our own fruit kebabs.

Tuesday 9th March.

Today we did a whole school science investigation. We used lots of different types of citrus fruits and added food colouring, bicarbonate of soda and washing up liquid to them. They bubbled up and made fruity volcanoes!

The class thought of words to describe what they saw and remembered the new words they had learned.

Boats for the Gingerbread Man

Here are some photos of the fantastic boats you made at home and at school last week. Brilliant effort Class 1, we think the Gingerbread Man would have been very pleased with these!

Thank you for your support. The structure of home learning may change a little from time to time at we review how things are going. Please check the homepage daily and keep in touch ๐Ÿ™‚ Mrs Machin and Mrs Prior.

Below is the link for Class 1’s Christmas Nativity Poem. Enjoy, and have a wonderful Christmas!

No firework display to go to this year? No problem!

Class 1 have performed a fantastic firework dance for you to enjoy instead! First we made firework streamers using sticks collected outside and crepe paper, then we went into the hall to practise our routine. See if you can spot catherine wheels, blasting rockets and swooshing sparklers. We danced to ‘Music for the Royal Fireworks’ by Handel. Best enjoyed with a sticky toffee apple ๐Ÿ™‚
