Class 1 visit to The British Ironwork Centre
Class 1 had a wonderful first class trip to the British Ironworks on Wednesday! The weather was sunny and dry and we had a brilliant walk around the Superhero Sculpture trail. We ticked off the Heroes as we found them, but we also saw lots of other interesting things, like minions, endangered animals and huge bug sculptures! The children loved eating their lunch then having a play in the fantastic park. What a success!
Evil Pea Arrested by the Police!
We have had a very exciting time here in Class 1 over the last 2 weeks. As you may have heard, the Evil Pea has been causing chaos in Class 1 recently. We decided last week to try and capture him by designing and making some traps. The children had some fantastic ideas and all made brilliant traps which we set on Friday to see if we could capture the Evil Pea over the weekend.
When we came in this morning, we had a big surprise! Every trap had caught an ‘escapea’ and in one trap, the Evil Pea was caught! We then decided the best thing to do was to check the CCTV cameras and for Mr Jones to call the police. PCO Stuart Carroll arrived by 9.30am and arrested the Evil Pea. He also kindly showed us his police car and some police equipment that he had brought. The children thought of some super questions for PCO Carroll too.
PCO Carroll took the Evil Pea away to custody, and took some photographs of him in a cell. After some time to think, the Evil Pea had a stern talking too and said he was sorry and wouldn’t do it again, so later in the afternoon PCO Carroll brought the Pea back to class and we have decided to give him a second chance! We want to say a huge THANK YOU to PCO Stuart Carroll for assisting us in Class 1 today.

Thursday 28th September – Exploring the school woodland area
Today we dressed up in our waterproofs and our wellies and headed off on an adventure into the school woodland area. We used our eyes and ears to explore what we could see and hear. We heard so many birds that we decided to make them some special bird feeders, which we have hung around the school grounds. We returned to class to have a delicious hot chocolate and biscuit. Class 1 amazed Mrs Hartland with their super listening and excellent behaviour, she is very proud of them all.
5th of September- Our First Day of School
